Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 October 2026

We take the privacy of our customers, schools, councils, clubs and homeowners seriously. This policy sets out, in plain English, what personal information we collect through this website and our enquiry channels, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it.

01Who we are

Speedy Resurfacing is a specialist sports-court resurfacing division of Speedy Line Marking ("Speedy", "we", "us", "our"), headquartered at 545 Merrylands Road, Merrylands NSW 2160, Australia. We resurface, repair, colour and line-mark sports courts for schools, councils, clubs, strata, commercial sites and homeowners across Sydney and New South Wales.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to www.speedyresurfacing.com.au, our enquiry forms, our Court Scan and Court Customiser tools, our phone, WhatsApp and email channels, and our social-media pages.

02What personal information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and deliver our services. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact details — your name, mobile number and email address when you request a quote, callback, site assessment or download.
  • Project details — your suburb or site address, the type of court or sport, approximate dimensions, your preferred colours and any notes you provide.
  • Court photos — images you upload to the Court Scan tool or send to us by email, WhatsApp or SMS. Please avoid including people in these photos.
  • Correspondence — emails, messages and call notes exchanged with our team.
  • Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring campaign and advertising identifiers collected through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies and analytics" below).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health or racial information) and ask that you do not send it to us. We do not collect payment-card details through this website.

03How we collect it

Directly from you — when you complete a form on our website, use the Court Scan or Court Customiser, call or message us, email info@speedyresurfacing.com.au, or interact with us on Instagram or Facebook.

Automatically — when you browse the site, through cookies, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tags, which record how you found us (for example the campaign, keyword, device and click identifier) so we can measure which advertising is working.

From third parties — occasionally from a referring architect, builder, school or body corporate who asks us to contact you about a project, or from publicly available sources such as a school or council website.

04Why we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry, call you back and prepare a quote or proposal;
  • assess your court — including analysing uploaded photos (with the help of AI vision tools) to identify cracks, drainage issues and coating condition;
  • schedule site visits and deliver resurfacing, repair and line-marking work;
  • send you service communications about your project;
  • measure and improve our website, content and advertising performance;
  • comply with our legal, insurance, WHS and Cm3 prequalification obligations.

With your consent we may also send occasional updates about our work. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, clicking unsubscribe, or emailing us.

05AI-assisted tools and email drafting

Our Court Scan tool uses an AI vision model to describe the condition of a court from the photos you upload. Our team may also use AI tools to help draft replies to enquiries received at info@speedyresurfacing.com.au. In every case a member of our staff reviews and approves any assessment or reply before it is sent to you — no customer email is sent automatically.

Information processed by these tools is limited to what is needed for the task and is handled under contractual confidentiality with our technology providers. It is not used to train public AI models.

06Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with:

  • Speedy Line Marking, our parent business, which shares staff, systems and insurance with Speedy Resurfacing;
  • service providers who help us operate — website hosting and database providers, email delivery, Google (Workspace, Analytics and Ads), Slack for internal lead alerts, and AI processing providers — each bound to use your information only to provide services to us;
  • subcontractors or suppliers where necessary to deliver your project (for example a civil contractor for sub-base repairs), limited to the details they need;
  • professional advisers, insurers, regulators or law-enforcement where required or authorised by law.

Some providers store data outside Australia (including the United States and the European Union). Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

07Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses Google Analytics 4 and the Google Ads tag to understand traffic and measure conversions such as form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks. These tools set cookies and may collect your IP address, device information and a Google click identifier (gclid). We also store campaign parameters (UTM, keyword, device) in your browser's session storage so that, if you enquire, we know which advertisement brought you to us.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can manage personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the site or contacting us.

08Security and retention

We store personal information in access-controlled, encrypted cloud systems and restrict access to staff who need it. Court photos and enquiry records are retained while we are quoting or delivering your project and for up to seven years afterwards to meet warranty, insurance, tax and legal requirements, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Marketing contact details are kept until you opt out.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

09Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@speedyresurfacing.com.au or calling 0466 495 495. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge for reasonable requests.

If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published at www.speedyresurfacing.com.au/privacy-policy with the date it was last updated. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
